The Threat Against Growth

2 Peter 2:1-3

In his final letter, Peter warned his readers with words of white-hot fury, of the false teachers, who presented a message contradictory to that of the apostles, to help them avoid their influence. In chapter 2 of 2 Peter, Peter describes why it is important to be spiritually strong. The distortion of God’s Word is an age-old tactic of Satan. Misrepresentation of God’s Word is tricky because it sounds correct, or close to correct, but just a subtle twist can be the difference between life and death.
