The Resurrection – Week Five
In the fifth I Am Statement of Jesus, Jesus performs the final sign in the book of John to prove that He is indeed the Messiah, the Son of God. Jesus raises his friend Lazarus from the dead in front of the public. This event would cause the religious leaders of the day to press for his execution as he was becoming more influential, but this same act would also foreshadow his own resurrection a week later. Christ’s resurrection proves that Jesus is who he said he was. He is Yahweh, the Creator, the Almighty who has the power over life and death. Do you believe this?
